Michelle Obama: Election Night

I was nervous when I went to vote on Tuesday. Anxious, or even tense. David and I got up to vote at 6am, and the line was already about 25 people deep. Even though I had briefly looked at the sample ballot, I still had to ask one of the volunteers for assistance. I had one of the new voting machines, where you just push next to the name and then push the "cast vote" button. Woo. Stressful. I admit it. When I was in that booth, I really did feel like my vote was going to count.

And, the rest is history. Truly.

The press is really starting to catch onto the Michelle Obama style craze, or Michelle O. as I am going to start calling her. Michelle wore a Narciso Rodriguez dress on Tuesday night, and she certainly made a splash. I wonder what made her make that choice? Mm. Can you imagine picking out the potential outfit for the night your husband may be elected president? I know designers are clamoring to dress her, so in this respect, all eyes will be on her. She may or may not pick someone well-known, she may not stick with one designer, but from here on out--she is the next icon for women young and old. She is a role model and our next First Lady.
