Michelle Obama: A Favorite

The election is less than a week away, and Senator Obama's appearance via satellite on "The Daily Show" last night proved his energy level is full throttle.

David and I went to Allentown, PA this past weekend to Obama's campaign office and spent the majority of Saturday knocking on doors. It rained most of the day, and by the time we knocked on our last door--we were soaked and it was all a bit dramatic. I'm really glad we were able to contribute somehow, and I feel like we were apart of history in the making.

Here is Michelle looking classy and sassy. The pearls coupled with the black t-shirt are a style staple.

Vote on Tuesday.

Michelle Obama at Hofstra University

I have my opinions about politics, but I will leave such ranting up to political bloggers.

I, however, WILL and MUST give you my opinions on Michelle Obama. She in fact, is an entity unto herself. I love Michelle Obama. I do. She is my Jackie O. of the 2000's, and she is fabulously fabulous. SO. Every week, I will take a little break from food and provide you with a little Michelle Obama I LOVE YOUR (her) STYLE (inside and out), love. Thank you very much.

This is Michelle and Obama at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York at the third, and final presidential debate on October 15. Senator Obama was wearing a red tie, and Senator McCain was wearing a blue tie. Did the wives get together and plan this? They were each wearing the opposite. Michelle in Democratic blue, and Cindy in Republican red.

How does Michelle pull off the cap sleeves? No one can usually make this cut look good (the arms just end up looking like pancakes, truly), but she certainly does. What was up with her necklace though? Unclear. Are these little roses/ flowers she pinned to her pearl necklace? Maybe it's a good luck necklace. Maybe her daughters made them. Oh Lord, maybe it's a family heirloom. Oops. Anyway. Three weeks to go.
